Celebrate Black Women in the Arts in pictures
In 1995 Black Women in the Arts embarked on a journey to help support and promote aspiring Black women artistes to achieve their artistic goals. Things were very different back then. Nowadays there are still challenges, that forces the organisation to seek diverse ways to continue supporting Black women artistes into the next decade.
Black Women in the Arts have learnt from experience that we must be resilient and creative in our approaches to supporting and working with Black women artistes. Here at Black Women in the Arts, we are aware that artistes are continually teaching themselves to be tough and with each blow life delivers to knock themselves down, to get up, dust themselves off and pick up where they left off. Finding new energies to keep going and following their dreams. To fulfill the dream and passion of a career in the arts.
Along the way Black Women in the Arts have been there to help support and promote Black women artistes to achieve their goal/s.
As a Black women artistes what you truly desire?
